This website has been funded by a Heritage Lottery grant and is part of a World War One commemoration project entitled “Gateway to our Heritage”. The project has also involved the restoration of the Grade 2 listed Memorial Park gates, the re-opening of the gate ceremony, a computer research station in the Old Carnegie Library, bi-lingual signs in the park and school visits to explain the relevance of the park and War Memorial to local children.

The website has been compiled, edited and researched by volunteers and the information provided is to the best of our knowledge correct.
